It Matters to Me

I've spent years traveling, living in different places, seeing how things are made and what they cost, not just in money.

When I started working with gold, I wanted to know where it came from. Most gold enters the market through supply chains no one can trace. That didn't sit right with me.

So I looked for better options. I found them.

What I Look For

  • Traceability

I want to know where materials come from. Not vague promises, actual origin.

  • Fair Treatment

The people who extract these materials should work safely and be paid fairly.

  • Environmental Care

Mining always has impact. I choose sources that minimize harm and restore what they can.

Fairmined Certification

One way I source responsibly is through Fairmined certified gold. It's a certification for small-scale mining operations that meet strict environmental and labour standards.

I hold a Fairmined license, which means I can trace my gold back to certified mines. The premium I pay funds community development in mining regions.

Not every piece I make uses Fairmined gold. Sometimes the right material comes from other responsible sources. But when it's Fairmined, you'll know.

License Number: CA30030
Valid Through: 11/02/2025 to 11/08/2028

And the Gems

I source gems from dealers I trust, many of whom I've known for years. I look for stones with character: natural, often unusual, always honestly represented.

Some come from small-scale mines. Some are vintage or reclaimed. What matters is that I know their story, and I can tell you.
