Labyrinths appear throughout time, from prehistoric petroglyphs to Greek mythology to gothic cathedrals. The five-circuit labyrinth, featured here in my Labyrinth Spoon, is characteristic of the Medieval period and is echoed today in modern labyrinths found throughout the western world.
Signifying a sacred journey, meditation or pilgrimage, a journey to the centre of a labyrinth and back again can be a prayer for renewal, release and surrender; a cycle of rebirth.
Handcrafted in sterling silver and Australian opal, with hand-pierced and hammered details throughout the design. Spoons are so much more than utilitarian objects. They can be objects of beauty and connection, adding joy to your daily routine. A beautiful and useful object can encourage ritual and mindfulness and prompt nostalgia by connecting us with our most meaningful memories.
Perfect for salts, spices, or doling out your favourite facial serums, a spoon makes a unique and thoughtful gift.
Measures 11cm length.
Materials: .925 sterling silver, Lightning Ridge Australian opal
